Off to Girl's Camp

So my daughter, mom, Randi, Sherri, and Karlin are off to our Annual Girl's Camp in Wimberly. 4 days of river, food, scrappin, and great mother daughter time! As Karlin described (when she was 7!) "it is where girls go to get away from boys." WE ARE RAISING OUR DAUGHTERS RIGHT!

Anyway, don't miss me too much, I will post on Tuesday! Have a great Weekend. End of school, YEAH!!

We were FLOCKED

So the other morning we woke up to a yard FULL of FLAMINGOS! I yelled at the kids "HURRY, HURRY come look!" (later I questioned my rush, what were they going to fly away? What can I say I had not had my coffee yet). ANYWAY, one of Bill's team of teachers FLOCKED us. If you have never seen this (I hadn't) it benfits Breast Cancer. There is a group called the "BOOBY Bunch" Hee Hee and they do this to raise $$.

Teacher Album

So every year I make the kids' Teachers an Album highlighting the school year. Here is the Album for this year. I am really happy with how they turned out. Each child has a page and the tags behind the child is a Thank you from the child and another one from their parent. The book is very interactive with fold out pages and tags from every direction. I used the Cosmo Cricket and love the "grunge" look I got. Thank you so much to Renee who stayed up till 2am with me cutting out the children's names. Enjoy

Funny TV

Ok so you all know we LOVE our TV (and TIVO).
Wanted to tell you about a FUNNY show that is starting on NBC.
We stumbled on it last season and have never laughed so hard. It is a reality show so at the beginning they are doing the "talent search" thing so hang in there 'til when they get to final group.
It is really funny. Give it a shot.

Fun Project

I LOVE Somerset magazine.
We have carried it at the store sometimes.
Totally Mary Ann and Carol style. But I find such inspiration in it.
I found this idea and had to share it with you. How much fun. A great little project. Pull out our stamps, dyes, pens, etc. and PLAY!

Very Inspiring

I don't know why I watched this but I could not stop! How great. I would NEVER do this but was cheering her on all the way. ENJOY

Are you ready to play?

Getting a little hot already?
Wanting to play with me?
I am sooooo ready for school, baseball, piano, teacher scrapbooks, etc. to be over I could scream!
Teresa Mcfayden is one of my FAVORITE artists and I found this beautiful advent calendar that I am dying to share with you guys.
I know, CHRISTMAS! Don't yell at me!
There is no better time to start on Christmas gifts than this summer when it is too hot to go outside, you are sick of your children (not that I would ever be but I hear some moms get that way) and you are not tried of Christmas yet!
This is going to be FUN!
We are going to do this as a SWAP.
You are going to sign up for a number and make 31 of that number. If you want to have more than one finished calendar then sign up for and swap more than one number.
I am going to give everyone until Friday June 27th. On Friday night we will Swap our numbers and then make the Calendars together (if you want to or you could just swap and then make the calendars on your own)
There is no cost. You will need to bring all your own supplies and then we will do potluck on Friday night. If SU is no longer SU on that date (I know, I know I am not trying to make you cry) then we will STILL get together and crop it up. Probably at my mom and dad or my house depending on the # of people.
I am so excited. Please post what number/s you would like to swap and PLEASE be committed. We did great the last swap we did. We only had one not come through.
Thanks for playing with me. I totally needed something to look forward to.
PS: You can make the calendar for any month. It does not have to be advent. AND you could make the Month removable so it can be used all the time!

Hello

Well how is everyone? Are you making it through May? I know we are barely hanging in there. Between end of school stuff (for all of us, that is what happens when even Bill and I are in education), Baseball, etc. CRAZY.

And ofcourse, not to mention all the Season Finale's, AMERICAN IDOL (go David Cook), Survivor (poor James!), NBA basketball, Oh my where would we be without TIVO!

And then there is WII! Yes, my family is addicted and now with the Mario Cart (which I totally blame on Becky Bray) way cool. I just can't wait to get my WII fitness to hopefully make up for all the hours spent on Mario Cart. :)

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that yes I am still alive. It was great seeing a lot of you at Bookclub Sunday and can't wait to see more on Tuesday night.

HUGS!!!

Take the test and then post your style.

I am a YUMMY MUMMY

YUMMY MUMMY
You're the intuitive home-maker, par excellence - in fact, you've probably dreamed of having a family home for as long as you can remember. The look is quintessentially feminine: cool, pretty colours; layered patterns and textures; and flawless attention to every little detail. You have a true 'home', full of love, laughter and warmth - and often the reassuring aroma of home-baked goodies.
