Something Fun

I made these buckets for my kids teachers for the first day of school. You could make them as a get well, birthday, graduation, anything. I took the buckets and using my YES glue glued patterened paper (I used the new Tango in, yes, YELLOW, and oranges). A little ribbon and a cute tag and done! It took me less than an hour to do two buckets (including covering two notebooks to match out of the leftover paper). I filled the buckets with asprin, air freshener, gum, snacks, and water. HAVE FUN

Be afraid...Be veeerrry afraid... Jody and Ami used POWER TOOLS to take down the wall dividing the store and our "Classroom" area. We were sad to see it go, but needed the extra space to put out all of our new merchandise! As you can see in the picture, it's almost done, and we only had one bloodshed incident (sorry Selena!).

A Whole Week

I am soooo sorry ya'll. I can not believe it has been a week since I have posted. I really had no clue.

If you have not been in the store lately it is AMAZING! Everyone has been working so hard to get all the new product entered and out and quickly as it comes in and BOY IS IT COMING IN! Please take a minute to scroll down and see all the great stuff (and this is just a sampling).

Next week we expect, BO BUNNY (so great), Creative Imaginations (the best stuff they have put out in a long time, they even have a NAKED line~ just wait till you see it!), Great new albums by Pioneer (even some actual photo albums for all your "left-over" photos). And these are just the ones I know of, you never know what might come in.

If you are in book club, don't forget about it next week. And the new book is just way too cool. can't wait to share!

We have been having way too much fun on Fridays, if you have not joined us in awhile, now is the chance to get back in the swing of things. We might even have a few SURPRISES instore for you!

August Calendar

New Challenge

I just spent a week back "home", filling my lungs with Mountain air. I don't know what it is, and my husband does not get it, but just being in the mountains does something to my soul. The crisp air, crickets at night, the dew in the mornings just take me back to my childhood (a much simpler, innocent time).

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE San Angelo and this is my home now and I can not imagine moving BUT there is and always will be a place in my heart for Pinetop, Arizona.

Do you have a place that touches your soul? It could be a town, store, even a special room in your house?

How to Stay Young

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This include age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them .

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets,keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable,improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9 Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
