New Products on their way!!!
As many of you know, there was a scrapbook trade show (CHA) in Chicago last weekend. Jody and I weren't able to go, but we were able to pre-order some of the products. We will be getting the ENTIRE new line from My Mind's Eye, called Bohemia. I (Ami) have been bugging the MME rep for months now, so when I talked to him yesterday, he assured me that he has our name at the TOP of the shipping list! It is set to ship on Monday. That means we will be one of the first stores in the country to get this line! (I'm expecting it Thursday or Friday.)
We are also getting ALL of the new Reminisce lines. All great themes, with lots of papers, stickers and alphabets to go with each. Those should be in any day now.
We will also be among the first to receive products from a brand new company, Cosmo Cricket. If you loved the Comstock line from We R Memory Keepers, you've gotta see this! Julie and Eric Comstock have started their own company, with great new lines. We will be getting two of them: Wanted and Love Lines.
We will let you know when all these great products start arriving. Keep checking the blog!
Becky's Challenge
The journaling reads:
Do circumstances define us? I believe that often they do. Circumstances place us in unique relationships. I am your Aunt B and you are my sweet nephew. But eight years ago, circumstances forever changed the nature of our relationship. I was a mother without any children, and you were a child without your mother in your life. God in His infinite wisdom had a plan. I was there when you were born, said your first word, took your first steps and walked you into your first day of school. Circumstances changed and your Mother is back. That hole in your heart that so ached to be filled, has been. And with the birth of my two sons, so has mine. Just know that you will always be - -

Some businesses are based on greed,
While some are based on love.
The Scrapbook University
Is based on prayers above.

But when their business it did start,
Who knew where it would end.

Challenge #2 entry - Great Gloria!
Journaling reads:
The most beautiful color to me is Green.
Any shade of green I love, it's my favorite.
And you'll find my favorite color in my
favorite place. The kitchen, where I love
to bake for the people I love. The reaction
on their faces when I bring out a dessert.
That makes me feel just wonderful. I love
presenting foods in my green polish pottery
I got when we were stationed in Germany.
It makes me proud when we sit down to
eat & everything is green & beautiful.

Envelope Glue
If you are making your own envelope using some of our great templates here is a recipe for envelope glue! Happy Sticking
6 Tbsp. White Vinegar
4 oz. unflavored gelatin
1 Tbsp. flavoring - peppermint etc
In a small saucepan bring the vinegar to a boil and dissolve the gelatin in it. Remove from heat and stir in the flavoring. Store your glue in an airtight container. The glue will gel as it cools - to use, reheat and apply with a brush and let dry. Moisten with water to seal your envelope.
Thank You
Thank you all for all my Happy Birthday's. I turned 35 on Saturday for those who were trying to guess. It turned out to be a great weekend. I thought I was having a pool party (which I thought was a mean joke of my husbands because I did not even want the pool) but Saturday morning I was awoken by very loud Mexican music and my friends and husband standing in my bedroom with sambaroos on their heads. They were kidnapping me off to Mexico. I got up, quickly dressed while my girlfriends packed me, and off to Del Rio we went. We shopped, ate, danced, and even went to Bracketville (which has a huge movie set complete with even a replica of the Alamo!).
So all your Birthday wishes came true and I had a GREAT birthday!
What Does Your Favorite Color Say About You?
Pink – There is a reason pink is often the color thought of when Baby Girls are mentioned. Sweet, nice, and delicate are often the first words that come to mind when pink is mentioned. You have a romantic side though too and think that love is the world’s greatest gift. More often than not you are they image of happiness and tranquility.
Orange – Did you choose orange as your favorite color? This means you have a high level of energy and tend to become restless when you’re not out saving the world. You get a long well with others as you are very social and hate to be alone. Not only are you a self starter, but you motivate those around you with your intense energy.
Yellow– If you’ve chosen yellow as your favorite color, you are an excellent
communicator and you breathe warmth into everything you do. You are the life of the party and very imaginative. People swarm to you because you are always cheerful and bright.
Green– Green is a color of health and balance. One of your grand goals is to discover life’s hidden secrets. You’re also a very affectionate and loyal friend who tends to be very frank when asked your opinion. Your reputation is very important to you, so you are always conscious of any decisions you make. By this merit, you also finish what ever you start.
Blue– Of all the colors, blue represents the most creative and artistic of all colors. You excel at anything artistic and musical. These things also stimulate your mind. Above the artistic desires, you crave harmony in all aspects of your life. You have proven yourself as a sensitive and capable person and these traits make you an outstanding friend. You are very cautious in life and are conscientious of your work.
Purple– As a visionary, your life essence is one of spiritual consciousness and
awareness. You find it natural to express yourself aesthetically and artistically. As a whole, you believe you are a strong and independent person and others tend to perceive you as a sensitive and observant. These artistic and inner qualities indeed to make you as unique as you believe yourself to be.
Black – Stylish and sophisticated are two words that are almost always associated with you. People have a tendency to think of you as elegant yet mysterious at the same time. Black also has the tendency to evoke thoughts of power and nobleness granting you the esteem of others.
2nd Challenge: Color
Do a layout about your favorite color! Go around you house and take pictures of how you have surrounded yourself with your favorite color. Explain why it is your favorite color, how it makes you feel, etc. Any or all of these ideas can be included.
Can't wait to see ya'll "In Living COLOR!"
Challenge deadline: July 15th
