It appears that my email problem is a SuddenLink problem in West Texas... I will try to email your newsletter tomorrow, but until then, here are the class descriptions for the classes in April.
April, 2007 Classes and Events
Please Note: Beginning in January, 2007, classes must be paid for in advance. In the event that you must cancel, 24 hours’ notice must be given in order to receive store credit for the class fee. If SU is not notified 24 hours in advance, your class kit can be picked up after the class.
Because classes and crops are Mommy-time, children under age 12 are not allowed, except during Kids’ or Teens’ events. Children age 12-17 may attend classes as a paying student, with an adult.
Tool Kit for classes includes: Paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive, and a pen.
Easter Egg Album Cost: $15
4/3 Taught by: Carol
Carol has done it again—created an adorable mini-book that you will just love. This will be the perfect little book to put all your special Easter pictures in. Use it for this year’s pictures, or do what Carol did, and create a “history” of Easters. Bring: Tool Kit
Beach Puzzle Cost: $15
4/10 Taught by: Judy
Judy is teaching another great class this month… She will be teaching you how to use puzzle pieces to create a fabulous layout. It can then be used on a page, in a frame, or as a fun way to send pictures to loved ones. (They would have a fun time putting together pictures of you/your family!) The project kit is definitely beach-themed. If you’d prefer a different theme, you can purchase additional paper and create your own style! Bring: Class Kit
NYOBC (Not Your Ordinary Book Club)
4/15, 4/17 Taught by: Jody
Surely by now you have heard about SU’s most popular group. Each month, the group meets to discuss a new idea book, and then completes projects based on that book with kits provided.
PDQ Layouts Cost: $15
4/15 Taught by: Jody
Do you LOVE the PDQ papers, but don’t know “quite” what to do with them?? Jody to the rescue! In this class, you will create four layouts, using our new lines of PDQ. If you haven’t seen the new ones yet, you are in for a treat! Bring: Tool Kit
Alcohol Inks Cost: $18
4/22 Taught by: Wanda
Wanda’s last alcohol inks class was so popular, we are bringing her back to teach another one. Alcohol inks are another medium to use on your scrapbook page elements. They add great color, and dry quickly. Once we knew how popular they were, we bought lots of products at the trade show to use them with.
Photography Class Cost: $10
4/22 Taught by: Ami
You have been asking for a photography class, so we are holding one monthly! Each month, come and learn how to use a different feature on your camera, and then go home and practice! We will have monthly photo challenges using the technique(s) that we have learned. Note: Due to camera differences, some cameras may not have all features discussed in class. Bring: Camera, Tool Kit
Get the Picture Cost: $15
4/24 Taught by: Becky
Becky was so inspired by Stacy Julian’s book, The Big Picture, she created a class using its elements. This will be the last “Get the Picture” class until after the summer, so if you’ve been waiting to see what it’s all about, here’s your chance! Bring: Tool Kit
Clock Class Cost: $22
4/29 Taught by: Judy
In this class, you will be using Heidi Swapp’s clock overlays to create a working clock that will be truly unique. Bring photos that you want to use under the overlays. This will make a great Mother’s Day gift, if you are able to part with it! Bring: Tool Kit
Mother Book Cost: $15
4/29 Taught by: Carol
This is a project that is created especially for Mom—Literally! The pages of the album even spell out the word “Mother”. Use your smaller photos (or parts of photos) to create a book that Mom will treasure forever. Bring: Class Kit
