Several people told me that they were unable to read the email I just sent out... I'll check on the reason tomorrow, but I thought I'd post it on the blog, so you all could read what I sent you!

Dear Customers,
There is so much happening at Scrapbook University! In case you haven't heard yet, we bought a house last week!! It will hold the greatest scrapbook retreat in West Texas, and your scrapbook store. We have been busy, busy, busy renovating and decorating to make it great for you.
You will notice a couple of things different about this month's calendar... First, because we haven't been able to get it to you until now, it includes the last two weeks of September and the first two weeks of October.
Also, beginning October 1st, our store hours will be changing.

First, we will now be open on Mondays! Also, you will now be able to Scrap 'til 10 on Tuesdays. We will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, to prepare for our weekend events.
Please note that we will be closed for moving Oct. 10-13. Be sure to save Sunday, Oct. 14- You will not want to miss Open House at our (your) new Scrapbook Home!

Sept.-Oct. Classes & Events

NYOBC (Not Your Ordinary Book Club) 9/16 or 9/18

If you are looking for a way to "Get out of your box", then this is the group for you. Each month, we get a new idea book and a kit to go with it. You take them home, look through the book, and use the kit to complete a project from the book (or create your own!) The next month, we meet to discuss the book and show off our "homework". Come see why this is the most popular group at Scrapbook U! Membership to the club costs $60 for 6 months, plus the cost of the book. Next semester starts in January.

Flip-Flop Book 9/25

Taught by: Carol Cost: $15

Carol has done it again! She created an album using actual flip flops- and it makes the perfect Summer Memories album. We've had the sample at the store for about a week, and the class is already half-full. Make sure you call ASAP to save your spot!!

Scrap Pink 9/29

We have been wanting to do an event benefitting Breast Cancer Research for a long time. Scrapbook stores all across the US are doing this Scrap Pink event, and your scrapbook store is one of them! Join us from 10-10 for scrapping, food and FUN! $35 includes lunch, dinner, goodies and $10 donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Center. Call to save your space for this special event!

Scrapbook University's Foreign Exchange Program 9/30
Taught by: Ami Cost: $12

A new club is starting at Scrapbook U. We will meet once a month to create a layout and project inspired by different countries. When we meet, each person in the class will bring a dish for that month's country. We will eat, learn some interesting facts about that month's country, and then do a layout and project. (Note: The layouts will not be about the country, just inspired by colors and/or designs.) This month's country will be..... France!

Are You Gettin' It? 10/9

Taught by: Becky Cost: $12

Remember Get the Picture? The club lives on! Becky will go beyond The Big Picture, with different topics every month, from wherever she finds inspiration. There will be new challenges at each class, and homework to work on using the new things we learn each month.

Pot Luck Crops

Join us on 9/28 and 10/5, for the last two crops at our "old" store. An era is coming to an end at Scrapbook University, and another exciting adventure is about to begin. Crops cost $5 for members, and $10 for non-members. Please bring a dish to share. We all eat dinner together, then Scrapbook 'til midnight!

Once we move to our new location, we will hold monthly crops and weekend events. If the house is not rented on any Friday night, we will still hold a crop on that Friday. We will let you know on the blog if the house is available to crop on a Friday other then the one scheduled on the calendar. It is going to be so great! We cannot wait to play with you at our (your) new house!
