Happy New Year

Ok, I should be somewhat back to normal. But really what is that? Wyatt's b-day over (10 years!!), Christmas over (I HATE that I feel this way), Mom and dad party over, Mom and dad in Bolivia safely, my house looks like mine again, and I think, after a day of rest, my cold might also be over!!

SO a blogging I will go...

I LOVE this vintage image. It totally seems to sum up my New Year. And you know me and vintage. I hope every one's 2009 is blessed. You all are counted in my blessings!!

We had a PACKED Christmas. We had 14 people at Tomey and Jana's in Corpus and 4 dogs (I left Boomer at home). It was really special. All of Dad's family came to see the baby and say goodbye to mom and dad. My great aunt and another aunt did not join us at the beach.

I love "surfing" the net and finding inspiration for "my" art. Here is a site I check out every now and then, http://printpattern.blogspot.com/, Print and Pattern. It is mainly a stationary and fabric site but they have some of the coolest and newest color combo's and great images. Just some place to get your creative juices flowing.

So I am not one for New Year's Resolutions, or should I say Keeping New Year's Resolutions, but here would be some things on my list if I had one:

* lose weight (I know, I know)

* keep up with NYOBC projects

* send out more cards (alright, send out ANY cards)

* keep my scrap space organized

* keep up with my blogs

Ok, that is enough, considering my resolution track record! Post a comment and let us know your resolutions. Maybe we can help each other stay on track!

OLW (one little word)

so last year we all picked a word to try and be our "focus" word for the year. My word was STOP. What was yours? And how did you do? You might want to scrap a page in your OLW book (if you did it last year) or in your scrapbook about the word and how you view it now after a year. In some was, personal, I totally lived up to my word. And there were several time through out the year that I or a friend reminded me of my word. A month would go by and I would not even think about it but for the most part when I needed it my word stood as my Matra for 2008. Leave me a comment about your word and if it played a role in your year. Also are you picking a new word for 2009?

Capture

Will be my word for 2009.

Ali Edwards has posted another great list on her blog.

NYOBC

NYOBC will be on Jan. 25th this month because of the 3 day weekend on the 18th. With the extra weekend we should all be able to get a lot done. (you know I am the pot calling the kettle) Anyway, I have already received the new kits and they are GREAT! I mean GREAT! It is all I can do to keep it a surprise!

I have a few spots open if anyone out there wants to join us. Also, if you did not make it to the last meeting and have not gotten your kits PLEASE contact me ASAP!

Remember to bring you supply kit because we will be crafting it up. I have last month to make up to ya'll!

Scrappy Time!

Ok, so everyone wants to scrap? What is up with that?!?!

I will try and make Holly's Fireman crop (will there be any Firemen there?)

But lets all think about a time to get together at the next NYOBC. We will set a date, I promise, so everyone bring your calendars to the meeting.

So that is about all I have for now. WHEW. That was a long blog, thanks for hanging in there. Please post and let me know how everyone is doing.

LOVE YA

Jody

First of all my new year's resolution list is short:
1. get healthy
2. scrap from my stash (already kinda broke that one ;)
3. get organized
4. learn to digi scrap!!

My word for this year has to be..hmmm....that's a hard one. I'll have to think on that one a little more. Maybe scrap it and bring to NYOBC.

Happy Holidays!! Glad to have you back with us!!

I miss you blogging. My word last year was recovery. I am still working on it.It will be mine again. My new year's resolution is to get healthy and take the weight off.I will continue to work on using the supplies I have to scrap. I will have knee surgery on Jan. 27th so I will be on a tight buget because I will be without an income for 2 months. Have to work on my compulsive spending but won't give up my Sunday's with Jody. Hope others can come to Holly's fireman crop on Jan. 17th. I will be there. Miss everyone. Barbara
